On Monday 2nd June, we welcome Fabien Ho to Greenleaf Road to show us some of his work.

By day Fabien is a creative director, working on branding, print and packaging for high-end clients.

Inheriting a battered old Lubitel, he subsequently taught himself photography and likes to use it to reflect his own sense of identity, which given that he grew up living in several major cities including Milan, Paris, Singapore and Tehran as well as London, must have been quite some inspiration.

He is now a member of Image17, a collective of local photographers, and has taken part in the E17 Arts Trail for a few years now. Last Trail he photographed local residents with their treasured possessions and the year before that saw his exhibition Woof: A Celebration of Walthamstow Dogs and Their Barking Owners.

This year Fabien also has an exhibition in the Trail  – Mixed Race17  is a photography project which aims to document the experiences of Walthamstow residents who have mixed race parentage.   It is exhibited at the Bygga Bo Cafe & Shop on Chingford Rd (a few doors from The Bell).

It should be a great talk and would ask members to support both this and Fabien’s exhibition.
