[pullquote]I am a British born photographer, I take great pleasure in finding the extraordinary in the ordinary, often documenting the surreal happenings on the city streets.
Most of my photography is shot in London, a city I am proud to call my home. London offers a constant changing canvas of textures, people and events, My preference, regarding the type of images I produce, is that they have an honesty about them, captured in camera with little, if any, post-processing.
I lecture widely on Street photography. I have exhibited in various group shows and, to date, have had three solo exhibitions.[/pullquote] – David Mason
Monday Night is Members evening we need people to talk about their prints, just 3 or 4 prints 5 to 10 minutes the whys wheres how etc and what the mean to you. Might even make it a bit interactive.
Wednesday night away competition – the Anniversary Cup at Loughton, we have 3 b&W 3 colour and six projected there are I think 8 or 10 clubs in the battle so it should be good.
Monday week is the AGM. We need people for the committee but please check with people before nominating them.
Monday (tonight) night the exhibition is open to members, family, friends and visitors.
Members will be able to vote for their favourite 3 images in each class, whilst guests and visitors get to vote for their favourite overall image.
We will be open from about 7pm. Please note the judge will also be there picking her selection for the exhibition so I would ask that you do not disturb her until she has finished.
May we ask you to use the sharing buttons on this post to spread the word about the exhibition.
The Goddard Trophy is a competition where members submit four printed images linked by a theme.
It is a competition that many members see as the ‘one they want to win’.
Last year the winner was Matt Russell with ‘From the top deck of the Number 11 Bus’.
Unlike many times when Matt’s images confuse and/or bemuse judges when placed together as a panel the judge understood Matt’s work and it was a very worthy winner of the competition.
His winning images are shown below.
